I only have 110 volt supply in my shop, so any contractor saw will be marginal in power. I was working too hard and getting too much burning with a combo blade.
It is the Boss blade in my shop. No more problems.
I put it aside and ordered this blade. It sliced through 3 1/2 inch mahogany like butter.

My 10-inch Craftsman table saw is well-tuned to make clean, accurate cuts, but a recent project required ripping 1 3/4 inch mahogany.
I even did some resawing to adjust some wide parts in thickness.
Now if I can get them to make blades for my jointer, I'll be in workshop heaven. I'm not much for writing reviews, but this product should be on all "under powered" table saws. I literally just finished installing it on my saw and decided to try it on some 4/4 bloodwood, and it was like a hot knife through butter. Well done Freud. Wow, what a beautiful blade. I just bought a 1 1/2 HP Hitachi hybrid table saw, and while it's great and has a fantastic fence, it's struggled a bit with hardwood ripping, even with my Freud 60 tooth finishing blade on it, so I searched Amazon for a solution and after reading all of the positive reviews, decided to give this blade a shot. To say that I'm very happy would be an understatement.
It is a great blade and I can't believe the price considering it is a Freud.I used to be just satisfied with the old Craftsman blades I had and just sanded he hell out of the mistakes but that is not necessary anymore. How do they do it. It is thin kerf also since I have less then 3hp saw. No chips. It left no rough edges. I purchased the LU87 and just used it recently and couldn't believe how quiet and smooth it cut. Even though it was only half-inch goods I was cutting Chinese Birch which has a soft veneer on top and ultra smooth. Very little burn and no residue.
This blade has lived up to its reputation of ripping cleanly and ripping easily 3 inches of walnut on a 2 HP cabinet saw without any bogging down and only a minimum of burn.
Now I have this Freud installed on a Ridgid R4511 granite top 1 1/2hp tablesaw.what was I doing before without this equipment. Making my life more difficult, that's what. You cannot fail with this blade. Glad I researched my options because I could have spent just a little less money and been VERY unhappy with the result. He was right. That's what the neighbor kid said when he watched us rip sixteen foot long pressure treated 2 x 6s right down the middle. This blade perfomed very well, never losing it's sharpness. Was previously using a Craftsman 3hp direct drive table saw with a 40 tooth blade.
